How to pay for a VPN with Monero

A VPN account paid by card is linked to your name. Paying with Monero, on a VPN that needs no email, means even the VPN company does not know who you are.

VPNs that take Monero

  • Mullvad – No-logs VPN. No email or account details needed, just a random account number.
  • IVPN – Audited no-logs VPN with anonymous accounts.
  • AirVPN – VPN run by privacy activists, with port forwarding and Tor support.
  • Xeovo – No-logs VPN from a small privacy team. Pay with Monero, Bitcoin, Litecoin or cash.
  • Obscura – Two-party VPN that splits trust between Obscura and Mullvad. No email or card needed; pay over Lightning or with Monero.
  • Cryptostorm – Token-based VPN: buy an access token with crypto and connect. No account, no email.
  • NymVPN – VPN with a mixnet mode that sends traffic through five hops with cover traffic, hiding who talks to whom.
  • Safing SPN – Portmaster firewall plus SPN, a multi-hop privacy network. Pay with Bitcoin, Monero or cash.
  • hide.me – Malaysia-based no-logs VPN with a free plan. Paid plans accept Monero, Bitcoin and other coins.
  • Cypher VPN – VPN with no account, email or password, just a key. Pay with Monero, Bitcoin, USDT and other coins.

How to pay

  1. Sign up without personal details

Pick a VPN that gives you an account number or token instead of asking for an email. If it does ask, use an alias address.

  2. Choose Monero at checkout

The VPN shows a Monero address and the exact amount, sometimes as a QR code.

  3. Send from your own wallet

Pay from your own Monero wallet, not from an exchange. Send the exact amount shown.

  4. Wait for the confirmation

Activation takes from a few minutes to about half an hour, depending on how many confirmations the VPN waits for.

  5. Write down your account number

With no email on file, the account number or token is your only way in. Store it in a password manager.

Good habits

  • Do not log in to the VPN website from your real IP address if you can avoid it.
  • Pay again with Monero when you renew, so the account stays unlinked.
  • A VPN is not anonymity on its own. Read Tor vs VPN to see what it does and does not hide.

Monereo only links to services; we never hold your funds. Always check a service yourself and start with a small amount.
